How Does It Work

Salt Lake Community Solar makes going solar simple, streamlined and fun. Now that the enrollment period has ended, Salt Lake Community Solar is focused on the home assessment and committment phase.

Learn about solar: Attend a workshop or event in your community. (SLCS will not be providing further workshops now that the enrollment period has ended.)

Home Assessment: Contact Gardner Engineering, the designated SLCS contractor, to set up a free solar assessment for your home. After your assessment, the installer will provide you a final solar bid.

Commit to Install: After the SLCS contractor provides you with a bid tailored to your home and your individual needs, you will have a chance to review your final bid and make a commitment to install solar.  You will need to sign a contract and put down a $500 non-refundable deposit with the contractor by November 5th to seal the deal on great solar prices. The SLCS contractor will also work with you to complete a net metering agreement with your utility, pull applicable permits, and file paperwork for any incentives.
