Meet the Contractors


Gardner Engineering and Goal Zero have partnered with the Salt Lake Community Solar project to provide exceptional service, and quality solar PV installations for Salt Lake County residents.

Gardner Engineering, based in Ogden, Utah, is a Design-Build renewable energy firm specializing in the design and installation of solar PV systems. Goal Zero, based in Bluffdale, Utah, is a local manufacturer of solar equipment. They are providing logistics and warehousing for Salt Lake Community Solar.

The contractors have a proven track record of excellence and extensive experience, having successfully installed over 2.5 megawatts (2,500,000 watts) of solar. Ken Gardner, owner of Gardner Engineering has taught solar installation classes around the world for Solar Energy International (SEI) and published numerous articles.

Gardner Engineering and Goal Zero bring the following credentials to the Salt Lake Community Solar effort:  

  • Full in house engineering for complete turn-key construction
